The expectation is that each patient admitted to our hospices will die under our care. How do we reconcile that within ourselves so that we can provide the highest level of professional, compassionate care? How do we care for ourselves? How does maintaining our professional

boundaries protect us from compassion fatigue and yet not make us less compassionate? This class will define "professional boundaries", “compassion fatigue" and "burnout" while exploring and answering these questions.
